It's useful for getting started towards learning Nutritional Balancing, but not if you are a Slow Oxidizer as I am. Almost all of the recipes are for other Oxidizers, because the ingredients includes: nightshades, citrus juices, fruits and berries... None of which I can consume.

This is so much more than a cook book. It provides a wealth of very helpful information behind the Nutritional Balancing Program and makes you excited to start getting healthy. This program caused my endocrinologist to say "medically speaking this cure is not possible",(eliminating graves disease) "but I believe you have had a miracle".

It uses foods recommended on a diet plan that not only helps many loose weight, but also helps restore, energy, vitality and good health.

I have been on the nutritional balancing diet for 2.5 years. I purchased this book hoping to find a way to jazz up my meals. There are far too many food in Joy's recipes that are not on the nutritional balancing diet, e.g., citrus fruit (lemons, limes), dried fruit (raisins), fresh fruit (apples, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries), sugars (honey, maple syrup), yin veggies (asparagus, lettuce, pumpkin, mushrooms), nightshades, and cheese that isn’t raw. I can't understand how she can with a clear conscious sell this book knowing it is not in accordance with the prescribed diet.

Dr Wilson endorses this, yet its recipes contain many ingredients that he advises against
I liked how the Author wrote her book, put her heart into it, however book does have some flaws in it. For example, her recipes has some ingredients that Dr. Larry Wilson recommended to stay away from such as asparagus, cucumbers, cauliflower, milk(dairy), beans that are hard to digest, paprika (which is part of the night shade family), and salmon, which is high in copper, is a high purine food, and not recommended for slow oxidizers. Now, I have to look else where for another book for slow oxidizers. I may have to look into Bill Walcotts metabolic typing book, and see if he has unflawed recipes for the slow oxidizer. Author needs to fix recipes in her book and omit nightshades, dairy, some veggies from her recipes. This incorrect recipes could land someone in the hospital. Wish I could get a refund, but oh well.
Waste of money. So many ingredients used in so many recipes that are NOT recommended in the Nutritional Balancing System. Fruits, nighshade vegetables, tomato sauces, grains, (like rice, gluten free flour). Complete waste. DON'T BUY! I should have listened to the reviews.
