Following the Wheat Belly™ Diet? Looking for recipes you can enjoy and be proud to serve your guests? This cookbook contains 30 yummy recipes from appetizers to desserts that are all Wheat Belly™ compatible. The recipe for Herbed Dinner Rolls is worth the price of the cookbook alone. And the Pumpkin Pie, right down the crust, could compete with any other pumpkin pie out there. Vegetables take the center stage in this cookbook, as they should in a healthy diet. You will love my better version of green bean casserole. I've given you a wide variety of vegetable dishes, soups and appetizers to choose from, all delicious and special enough to serve guests. And just in case you are a new cook, I show you a foolproof way to cook a juicy turkey. I sincerely hope you enjoy this cookbook and have a wonderful holiday season. Katrina

Not good unless you are a seasoned wheat belly user! It combines too many things from the use infrequently or never list such as potatoes, red, white and sweet with apples; it constantly recommends the sugary balsamic vinegar (500% more sugar than either red wine or apple cider vinegar ounce for ounce) when Dr. Davis cautions time and again against high sugar foods and fruits; it has an inviolate recipe from Ina Garten with sweet potatoes and orange juice so why include it with verboten stuff in it that are not allowed. Who does that help? You can't stay below the 15-20 sugar carbs level with the heavy reliance on the high sugar carbs ingredients in almost half of these recipes. I did get a kick out of the instructions on the Roasted Beets recipe that starts out "Remove the tops and the roots of the beets" because the beets ARE the roots! I think she meant the little string on the bottom of the root. But it put a smile on the face of this garden tending country girl. Also, when you rule out dairy foods that have high sugar content like milk, yogurt and cottage cheese (as Dr. Davis does), that includes the high sugar soft cheese known as goat cheese that she has in one recipe for the same reason. Ricotta, mozzarella and hard cheese do not have sugar but goat cheese does so it becomes a sugar no-no. I won't even get into the sloppy punctuation/spelling that suggests rushing it to get to publication in time for the Holiday deadline. Truvía is a trademark spelled only one way and it IS stevia based erythritol, rebiana and other natural flavors so I'm not sure why she makes a distinction half the time between the two. Rushed to print and poorly proofed.Product details

can't wait to try them...so glad to get away from wheat and start trying recipes without them...I will not miss the wheat!
